Yesterday, I let my sixteen year old daughter drive my car. She had recently got her license, so I thought that everything would be ok. Well, she dropped her brother off to his location and did not exactly know how to get back. She called me and we got disconnected and the phone had died. I got on my kness and prayed that she would make it home. When she got home, she told me that an older gentleman had not only given her directions, but had also given her gas money to get home. Thank you Sir !!

I'm not much of a popular guy at my school. Recently I broke my leg because of a car accident. I was hospitalized and could not attend school for a bit. A week after hospitalization, my best friends visited me with a large get-well card that was signed by so many people that I knew at my school! It really made me realize how I don't appreciate the things I already have!

My friends have tried to get me to volunteer at the local hospital for a while. I didn't want to because I wanted to spend my Saturdays relaxing. One day my mom told me that my grandmother was hospitalized (at the same hospital that my friends wanted me to volunteer at). Once I saw how busy the hospital was and how they lacked manpower there, I decided to volunteer! Hopefully I can help alleviate the problems that the hospital is facing!

I was up late at this coffee shop near my college studying for my midterm for tomorrow. The shop was about to close and the worker came up to me and offered me a free cup of coffee saying "Good luck with your studies." This encouragement seriously helped me go the last mile on finishing up my studies; the coffee helped a lot as well. Thank you so much! I hope you know how much of a difference your words of encouragement made!

I had a midterm the next morning. I was freaking out because I wasn't really prepared for the midterm and didn't really know a good way to study for it. I kind of knew a person in my dorm who had taken the class before, but I didn't think he would help me out. Thinking that I had nothing to lose, I just went to him and was pleasantly surprised. He was extremely helpful and tutored me the whole time I stayed there! What a great guy! I am going to do the same if someone comes to me asking for help

I saw this person digging through the unassorted trash bins to pick up recyclable material to sell. I didn't really have anything to do in the near future so I decided to help him out for a bit. This "a bit" turned into about 2 hours and we collected 2 huge trash bags full of cans/bottles! He was extremely grateful for my help and wanted to give me part of the money he got from selling the recyclable material, but I told him that he should keep it all because his thanks was good enough.

My youth group in my church was having a clothes donation drive and needed people to volunteer to visit people house to house and ask for clothes. When the youth pastor asked "Who wants to volunteer?" no one really wanted to do it. So I thought I'd give it a shot and raised my hand. Then more and more people started raising their hands after seeing my hand go up. The clothes drive was a blast :)

I just donated $25 to feedingamerica.org. I know it may not be much money to many people, but it's what I saved up this month to help other people out. I read the stories on that website and saw that even little donations can accumulate and help people. I'm hoping to save up $50 next month.

I was on the bus to get back to my dorm room. There was a lady on the bus who was carrying a lot of groceries. I don't help people often, but there was a lot of bags and the lady was pretty small, so I asked if she needed any help. Her face lit up and said "Please." Then I helped carry the grocery bags to her place. Although this detour took longer than I expected, it was definitely worth it.
