There is this blind girl in my college. I know that some people tend to avoid talking to her because people sometimes avoid things that are unfamiliar to them and talking to people with disabilities is unfamiliar to some people. I used to be one of these people. However, yesterday when I saw her on campus, I went up to her and just chatted a bit about classes that she was taking. Then I complimented her on the fact that she aced her midterm. She smiled.

I was down at the local library and I saw a lady who was trying to use the machine to return her books. She had trouble getting it to work so I did it for her and showed her how to use the machine.

I'm currently living in my college dorm and I haven't talked to my mom in about 4 weeks. I know that she misses me very much but I just have trouble getting myself to call her because we always tend to get into pretty big verbal arguments. But today, I just called to tell her that I am doing well. She was surprised and extremely excited that I actually took the initiative to call her. I'm glad the phone call made her happy.

My boyfriend's 73 year old father was not feeling well and a sore throat. We got a bit of snow today and my boyfriend was with another person who has to go for tests tomorrow at the hospital for his liver. After I got done shoveling my walk and part of my neighbor's walk, I shoveled Red's sidewalk and a path from my walk thru another neighbors walk. I also noticed that the driver side door of Red's car was open, so I shut that for him, as well.

I talked to one of my friends about being depressed. She told me that she used to be depressed a bit before she became a very faithful Christian and told me the story of how she was able to find God. After this chat session, she would come visit me weekly just to see how I was doing and would tell me that I am in her prayers every day.

I drove my son to Chapman University for the weekend for AIME prep (it's some math exam for high school students). I was waiting for him in the parking lot instead of driving back home because we live pretty far away so it wouldn't have made sense for me to do that. I was listening to the radio in the car the whole time, and by the time he got out, my car battery died. Luckily, a man jogging nearby saw that I was in trouble. He jogged back to his house, which was about 10 minutes away, and brought his car here to recharge my car battery.

I had a midterm the next morning. I was freaking out because I wasn't really prepared for the midterm and didn't really know a good way to study for it. I kind of knew a person in my dorm who had taken the class before, but I didn't think he would help me out. Thinking that I had nothing to lose, I just went to him and was pleasantly surprised. He was extremely helpful and tutored me the whole time I stayed there! What a great guy! I am going to do the same if someone comes to me asking for help

Today I wished my friend happy birthday. She used to be one of my closest friends and is currently dating my ex. I was with my ex for about four months and she started dating him three months after we terminated things. Sometimes you have to let go of the past, let go of the pain, forgive others and try to move forward even when others have hurt you.

I had just finished parking my bike and started walking towards my dorm. There was another student who had already unlocked the door and was about to enter our dorm, but he saw me coming. He closed the door and waited until I was closer to reopen the door and then held the door open for me after he walked in. I have seriously never seen anyone do that before. What a nice person.

I saw this person digging through the unassorted trash bins to pick up recyclable material to sell. I didn't really have anything to do in the near future so I decided to help him out for a bit. This "a bit" turned into about 2 hours and we collected 2 huge trash bags full of cans/bottles! He was extremely grateful for my help and wanted to give me part of the money he got from selling the recyclable material, but I told him that he should keep it all because his thanks was good enough.
