I'm a senator in my university's student government and am pretty well known around campus. Today I was in the dining hall and saw a table of freshmen who looked a bit befuddled by life. I grabbed some food and then sat down next to them, introduced myself, and started a nice, casual, inspirational conversation with them. It was humbling to be looked at with admiration as a wiser, older role model. I'm just glad to do my part to bring about positive social change.

There is this blind girl in my college. I know that some people tend to avoid talking to her because people sometimes avoid things that are unfamiliar to them and talking to people with disabilities is unfamiliar to some people. I used to be one of these people. However, yesterday when I saw her on campus, I went up to her and just chatted a bit about classes that she was taking. Then I complimented her on the fact that she aced her midterm. She smiled.

I was having a really bad trip on shrooms and seriously needed to go back to my friend's place. But I was about 15 minutes away from my friend's place and didn't really know how I was going to get back. I left my phone at my friend's place too. So I was just freaking out and walking around my college dorm hall when this guy asked if I needed help. He also knew my friend and he walked 15 minutes with me to my friend's place. We need more helpful people like him for people tripping on shrooms.

My friend needed to get to the airport to fly to LA for something related to his eye problem. He asked me to just drive him to a nearby Caltrain station which was just about 5 minutes away so that he can ride the Caltrain to the airport (which takes about 40 minutes). But I told him I would give him a ride directly to the airport. On our way to the airport, we talked about overcoming adversity, and it helped me kindle a new fighting spirit towards my depression.

This is what one little guy said 'Thank you for dieing for us and for loving us and you will never stop loving us and Happy Birthday Jesus. It is not about Santa, it is about your Birthday and God because when you died you made us not do lots of sins. P.S i hope you have a good birthday'.:-) What wonderful faith and a wonderful understanding of Chrsitmas

I work at a gas station. I see all kinds of people in need. A young woman locked her keys in the car and neither the station, nor the police could do anything, due to legal issues. She called AAA, and they could open the car, but it would cost her forty dollars. She was late for work, a new job and so, I lent her the forty. Two weeks later, she returned it, plus five.

I was on the bus to get back to my dorm room. There was a lady on the bus who was carrying a lot of groceries. I don't help people often, but there was a lot of bags and the lady was pretty small, so I asked if she needed any help. Her face lit up and said "Please." Then I helped carry the grocery bags to her place. Although this detour took longer than I expected, it was definitely worth it.

I have a friend who lives alone now and he isn't always able to afford enough food. So whenever he comes over to hang out with me, I grab some food for him at my college dining hall. I have been doing this for the past 2 months.

I was cycling home the other night, about a 20km commute. It was hot & muggy, 11pm, and I was pretty tired. When I was almost home I noticed a car broken down on the side of the road - they'd burst a coolant hose. The people were upset - they were a foreign family and didn't look as though they had any money or friends to help them get out of a jam. I had my knife and was able to fix their car in a few minutes. As I cycled off, I heard them say 'God must have sent him'.

Today, i drove a girl (23 yr old stranger) to a train station (donno where it was) 'cuz she said got a flat tire while she was trying to evade a drunk driver bashing into the side of her road. She said she was on her way to her boyfriend's (who passed away few day's ago) younger siblings. I know it sounds crazy to be driving some stranger you just barely met, but thinking "what if i was in that situation where i would have to wait 4 hrs for the next train" scenario, i couldnt say no. lol
